Sandy started his brewing career in the isle of Man before returning to his native Scotland to complete the Brewing and Distilling Degree at Heriot Watt University. In his third year he was also the in house brewer at the Hanging bat which included collabs with the likes of Six degrees north.

Once the four year course was complete he took a brewing position at Fallen Brewing Co. Sandy then moved on to head up recipe development and barrel aging at Black Isle Brewing Co. Having recently relocated to 71 Brewing, Sandy has taken the opportunity to launch his own project, showcasing innovative and cutting edge beers while still drawing inspiration from classic brewing philosophies.
