Hey! We are Tiny Rebel, an award-winning brewery from Newport, South Wales and welcome to our world! From two guys in a garage to a bespoke brewery with thousands of fans, we’ve grown a lot since 2012. We're showing no signs of slowing down though! We've got countless projects on the go and always have something exciting to show off!
From starting in a garage in 2008 we moved to our own brewhouse in 2012.
In 2015, we became the first Welsh brewery and the youngest brewery to win Champion beer of Britain to win Champion Beer of Britain, with Cwtch taking the top prize.
We also brought Cardiff its first independent beer festival, inviting brewery friends from all over the UK to come and show Wales what they do.
In 2017 we began brewing in our new brewery after outgrowing the original brewhouse. We invested heavily in packaging, with a new cask racker, German kegging machine and Italian bottling line. For the first time ever, we canned our beers, bringing an American canning line in-house.
2019 saw us redesign all our cans and grew to a team of 137 rebels. We brewed over 4 million pints of beer and put out 102 new beers.
2020 was wild. We started off with installing a brand spanking new canning machine that can pack 15,000 cans per hour! Just in time too, as lock down hits and brings everyone and everything to a halt. We focused on getting as many cans as possible out for everyone to enjoy at home!
As a result of lock down, we lost 85% of our volume overnight, but it wasn’t all bad news, we grew exponentially through our suppliers, online shop and retailers. We made two new beers to help the NHS, “Stay Put”. Both brews sold out in a matter of hours raising around £30,000 to support frontline NHS staff. We even made our own Tiny Rebel Hand Sanitiser and face masks and donated it to the most vulnerable in our community.
2021 & Beyond.
We have got countless projects on the go, too many to list, some would say. From reducing our carbon footprint in any way we can, to Tiny Rebel Spirits… We’re so excited to see where this goes, and we hope you’ll remain part of our story!
