Lost Pier Brewing

Location: Sussex
Head Brewer: Dan Gale

Lost Pier was set up by a deviation from the wine trade, let me explain...

Dan, the brewer, studied at Plumpton College (U.K's first and only Wine University) gaining a BSc in Viticulture and Oenology (grape growing and winemaking) Whilst studying and drinking and drinking... Dan worked part-time for Independent wine merchants called Quaff Wine Brighton & Hove. Whilst learning all things wine production during the week Dan used to homebrew most weekends, applying what he was learning at Uni to the art of brewing, winning local homebrew awards and to great approval of Quaffs customers when he used to give out a few sneaky bottles for feedback. After Dan graduated and was looking for a next step it was discussed with the owners of the Wine shop to invest and start a gipsy brewery, many trial batches were made and served to customers at the wine shop through there growler dispensing systems, feedback was received online and eventually after many test batches a core range was chosen and release into the wild!

Within 6 months Lost Pier has gone from a monthly 10BBL production to 35BBL and have exported to the Northen Ireland and Icelandic markets. We currently have 7 core beers with much more planned in the coming year.

We are excited to launch on eebria to send our products further afield, we hope you love our products as much as we enjoy making them!
