Celtic Marches

Location: Herefordshire
Head Brewer: Susan Vaughan and Robert Hancocks

The family have been growing fruit and hops on the farm for over 100 years Their farming roots go back deep into Mid Wales and the Welsh borders where many of their family still farm today. They are now drawing on that heritage and the abilities acquired from a history in the cider and brewing industry to produce award winning ciders on the family farm.

Celtic Marches were awarded Best Cider Producer in December 2018 by The Herefordshire Times. Our ciders also celebrated awards from the International Cider Challange, GLINTCAP USA and the Japan Cider and Perry Awards.

After a career in major cider manufacturing and a break to bring up her young family Susan Vaughan decided to join her brother Robert Hancocks back on the family farm in Bishops Frome Herefordshire.

Whilst Susan concentrates on sales, marketing and brand development. Robert grows the apples and makes the cider. They have found this to be a winning combination and every year Celtic Marches grows from strength to strength.

They take great pride in their cider and monitor it closely from the growing of the apples to the packaging of the final products. Awarded with their PGI status - Protected Geographical Indicator - you can rest assured that the only apples used in their ciders are Herefordshire cider apples, grown on their farm and harvested from their 200 acres of orchards.

Priding themselves on skilled consistency, every batch of their authentic craft cider is tasted before packaging to ensure the product you receive is of the highest possible quality.
