The initial goal for Jacqson Gin was to create a unique and outstanding Dry Gin which would be modern whilst remaining quintessentially Yorkshire. It took a year to develop the first recipe using a combination of local ingredients and other specially selected botanicals from all parts of the globe. The first Jacqson was our Original Dry Gin, carefully-crafted in small batches using 10 botanicals including locally grown rhubarb and liquorice. Alongside this classic Dry Gin we now also produce a Strawberries & Cream Gin and a Star Anise & Chilli Gin, offering hints of different flavours whilst remaining true to the Dry Gin tradition. The latest addition to the Jacqson Spirits range is the arrival of a Spiced Rum which is a mellow pale golden colour with a taste of the exotic.

Jacqson Yorkshire Dry Gin was launched in February 2017 by mother and son team, Jacqueline and Sam (hence Jacq-Son). The idea came to them one sunny afternoon in early 2016 when Sam treated his mum to a gin appreciation session in a bar in West Yorkshire. During the afternoon mother and son decided that they very much enjoyed the variety and flavours of the different gins they were tasting and it occurred to them that here was an opportunity to create something new and exciting and personal to them. With a love of the beautiful county of Yorkshire they were both passionate about creating a superb gin that would reflect something of themselves and their local area. An early decision was made to remain true to a “proper” gin tradition and all Jacqson Gins are 42% ABV, clear in colour and juniper-led, distilled in a cold vacuum to intensify the flavours and produce the stunning and unique taste of Jacqson.
