Navigation Brewery

Nottinghamshire

Our Brewery is situated in the grounds of The Trent Navigation Inn, on Meadow Lane. The building dates back to c1842 when the most effective way of transporting heavy goods such as coal, iron, sand, grain and foodstuffs was by water. The Trent Navigation served as a watering hole to the workers on the horse-drawn canal boats and their horses would bed down for the night in the stable block while the workers enjoyed a well-earned libation.

We are proud of the history and noble heritage of our building and that it served so many as a place of rest and sanctuary.

The Trent Navigation has continued in this tradition through the years as a great spot to recharge in good company.

Back in 2011 we started planning the brewery and we believe that good beer deserves the best kit.

Our brewing equipment was designed and fabricated to our own custom specifications here in the UK, while we imported specific filtering equipment from the Czech Republic (we heard that they know a thing or two about great beer there!)

The brewery itself opened in 2012 and our first brew was on Thursday 5th April 2012!

As well as producing a wide range of permanently available and seasonal cask ales, we are one of very few craft breweries with the capacity and expertise to brew, filter & keg our craft range onsite, ensuring the quality and consistency of our beer is always at the highest standards.
