Schrems in the Waldviertel region lies in the heart of one of the most stunningly beautiful areas in Austria and it's also home to our small, yet superb privately-owned brewery. Here we combine centuries-old brewing tradition with modern, state-of-the art technology to brew our excellent-tasting beer - your beer.
The Schrems Brewery was first mentioned in a document dating back to 1410. After centuries of eventful history it was purchased by Jakob Trojan in 1838 and has remained a family-run business ever since. Our family lives for beer - and has done for 5 generations!
"Hops and malt, may God preserve them" is a German saying that also still holds true in Schrems in the 21st century.
