A carefully considered range of delicious beers in cask, keg, bottle and can celebrate a fascinating industrial story, honoured throughout the site — from original First Class carriage seating and genuine railway memorabilia to the beer names and Steam Punk inspired labels.
Currently undergoing a major renovation to extend the capacity of their thriving taproom into a second floor, Steam Town has quickly become a must-visit venue for any beer fan travelling into or out of Southampton.
Quickly garnering huge local support for their out-of-town premises in Bishopstoke (a suburb of Eastleigh in Hampshire), Steam Town have wasted no time in creating the perfect marriage of fresh, flavoursome, beautifully balanced beers, with a delicious, modern US-style burger menu.
A high turn over of both food and drink has seen Steam Town continually evolve their outstanding range, with best-selling beers in can (and on keg) including their West Coast IPA, Orange Country Citrus IPA and Disco Fluff Helles Lager.
Beers including their brand new Fold Down Table Micro IPA (launching end of Jan 2021), their ever-popular Steam Stout and the Firebox Red Ale all take their names from the rich railway heritage by which the brewery is inspired. As for 'Honky Tonk Controller' – a 3 bean stout collab with Elusive Brewing, well, you'll need to ask Head Brewer, David Mackie about that.
David and Assistant Brewer, Will Bourne, together produce a wide gamut of beers ranging from traditional cask ales to bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stouts.
