Greens Beers began brewing in Belgium in 2003, producing the first naturally gluten free beer in Europe. As pioneers of experimental craft brewing we replaced conventional barley grains with healthier ancient grains such as buckwheat, grains higher in protein and probiotic benefits, to give a richer, more complex taste profiles.

Greens Beers are one of the early pioneers of the Free From movement, producing the first ever gluten free beer in Europe in 2003. Our Ancient Grain beers are brewed from buckwheat, millet, sorghum and brown rice, making them naturally gluten-free. Furthermore, these cereals boast healthier attributes with higher levels of protein, vitamins and nutrients, as well as probiotic benefits. They are all re-fermented in the bottle too making the beers gentler on the digestive system. All the beers are naturally filtered and accredited by the Vegetarian Society, and suitable for vegans too.
