Brews Company is a small brewery, based just off the Bermondsey Beer Mile in South East London. Once one of the smallest craft Breweries in the country (we started off on a 50l kit!) we are now brewing on 5BBL (800l) system.
We started life in late 2016, when Mark and Stuart started brewing together out of hours at UBREW - the UK's first open brewery. We had our 'Eureka' moment when other UBREW brewers started asking if we were going to start selling our beers, and thus Eureka was born. Originally not containing any Eureka! hops this was simply the first beer we made that we were excited to share with the rest of the beer scene.
Still at UBREW but having scaled up from the smallest kits to the biggest kit; we still brew part-time, out of hours around our full-time jobs.
Staying true to our ethos all of our beer is vegetarian-friendly, but we have strayed a bit outside of the Reinheitsgebot (German beer purity laws dictating what can go into beer) and started experimenting with Adjuncts (ingredients other than water, malt, hops and yeast) to bring some of our favourite beers, including our new core addition - Lavender Milk Stout.
