Zapato makes generous beers, taking classic styles and bringing them bang up to date. Zapato is a forward thinking brewery, in tune with its surroundings and looking to deliver brilliant and delicious beer experiences to a wide audience
Many of Zapato's beers fuse European and American traditions and play with styles, always looking to achieve a balanced result in highly quaffable beers that make drinkers want to come back for another.
Zapato was founded by Matt Gorecki, a beer industry insider who amassed a considerable level of beer and brewing knowledge whilst running Leeds' infamous North bar for 10 years, 5 years as an independent consultant, 8 years as Head of Beer for the legendary Manchester Independent Beer Convention, and as part of the founding team for both Hop City Festival in Leeds and Leeds Beer Week. Matt believes there is a different way to run a beer company and Zapato is this belief made real.
