Description
A classic French farmhouse style beer, this Bierede Garde is a light chestnut brown offering up toasted malt aromas and slight malt sweetness. Malty yet dry, with clean flavours and a smooth character. Strisselspalthops impart a citrus bergamot grapefruit and orange characteristic Background: Bière de Garde("beer for keeping") is traditionally brewed in the Nord-Pas-de-Calaisregion of France. These beers were originally brewed in farmhouses (they are known as Farmhouse beers) during the winter and spring, to avoid unpredictable problems with the yeast during the summertime. Farmhouse production is now supplemented by commercial production with the use of temperature control of modern breweries
