Madness Plants Mirrors in the Desert is single hopped with the Strata variety, which overlays this potent and boldly flavoured Double IPA with such a powerful sense of tropical fruitiness that on first acquaintance you might think youve just materialised next to a greengrocers fruit counter. The beer pours a hazy bruised orange, with notes of passion fruit, ripe mango, sweet orange and banana emerging from its firm rocky head of snow-white foam. Each sip reveals more tropical fruit tenderness, plus a grainy biscuit like sweetness mid-palate before it finishes dry with the tropical fruitiness turning up once more as if for an encore.
