Description
A soft pale ale, nicely easy going, with fruity hops and a herbal aftertaste from the Krpan and Amarillo followed by a smooth bitterness and a fruity, grainy finish, giving a very sessionable beer for the strength yet with plenty of hops and body. The majority European hops give a herbal, resinous and slightly green character offset by the fruity American varieties.
Hop Info: Hallertauer Blanc was chosen for their white grape flavour, then American stalwarts Ekauanot (fruity, intense) and Amarillo (peachy, delicate) compliment the unusual Slovenian Krpan (actually Chinook grown in Slovenia!) which has a lovely floral, herby gooseberry aroma. Overall on the fruity and herbal side.
It's both a Sisters of Mercy song, and now also the conspiracy theory!
