Description
One of the first sour beers to be packaged in Britain. -
Sour Grapes started life as a fermentation mistake with our flagship Henley Gold, which gave us the sourness and drinkability of a Berliner Weisse. The original tasted great but to give a greater depth of flavour we filled used Pinot Noir barrels with the sour beer. With some added good bacteria and some wild yeast we closed the cellar door and left it to work things out on its own.
The original won a Gold Award at the 2012 World Beer Cup in the Wood and Barrel Aged Sour Beer Category.
