BBD 27.11.25. We were really happy with how Northern Rising (our first Nitro Stout) turned out and immediately set to work planning when we could nitro something else. And here we are, Patrons Projects 40.05, Northern Monk Presents… Dubwhy. A 6.0% Nitro Export Stout.
Dubwhy have been kitting out the people of the North (and beyond!) since 2001. We’ve been wanting to get a collab off the ground with them for a while and are stoked to have them on board here for our first ever Nitro Export Stout.
Historically, in the 18th and 19th centuries, the Export Stout (also known as Foreign Stout) was heavily hopped to give the brew a longer shelf life for destinations in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.
Here, we've taken a roasty, smooth stout base and we'#ve packed it with a generous dose of Chinook hops, bringing a punchy bitterness with notes of pine, black pepper, spice, dark fruits and dark chocolate.
