Affogato gelato

Collab with Ampersand brew from Norfolk, this Espresso gelato pale is another unique piece in the Gelato series from ORA Brewing. The purpose of the series is to re-create some of the classic Italian gelato flavors. "Affogato" is an Italian coffee-based dessert. It usually takes the form of a scoop of vanilla gelato topped or "drowned" with a shot of hot espresso. This gelato pale is dessert in a glass: using Ugandan coffee beans hand-roasted by Casa Espresso (Yorkshire), this pale is brewed with lactose, flaked and golden naked oats. Rwenzori beans give a hint of strawberries & peach, which combined with the creamy notes makes it a light-bodied beer designed to lift your spirits and fire up your senses.
