Description

Inspired by the legend of the Sticke Fest and Sticke Alt. Twice annually, a special strong version of the Dusseldorf Altbier is brewed by three breweries in the Dusseldorf Altstadt (old town). The beer is put on the bar (literally, wooden barrels are hoisted up on to the bar and tapped) twice a year and enjoyed only by locals lucky enough to be in the know regarding the availability of this special release.

Our homage is coppery red with notes of toffee, raisin, bread, spice and herbs. A full-body, aggressive bitterness and long, clean finish thanks to the lagering time. A particular nod to Zum Uerige Sticke Altbier, traditionally drunk on the third Tuesday in January and October, as well as Neu Orbits original strength Altbier from our back catalogue.
