Description
This was the first beer we ever made. Gyle number one, and the recipe we have 5.7% changed the least (not at all). Its a direct copy of a very famous 1914 imp stout recipe crafted by a brewery that used to
make beer not that far from where Partizan is now. Have a look on the shut up about Barclay Perkins website if you need a few more clues.
Neither dry or sweet but just rich, powerful and stout. An indulgent roasty treat perfect at the end of a good supper or evening meal. Light acidity from the black malt helps cut through the portliness making a
lush and moreish tonic of a beer. Something like nothing else and very, very London...
