Outlander

Description

We wanted to brew a beer that was the very peak of refreshment. It needed to be hoppy, fruity, and to have a clean finish – not too sweet and cloying yet not too bitter and dry. We settled on a recipe that used a fair wack of rye in the grist that was dry-hopped with the Falconers Flight hop blend. Outlander. On the nose is soft tropical fruits, apricot, and clean citrus fruits. The flavour follows suit but accentuates these mandarin and orange flavours. The rye comes in towards the end with a drying spice that perfectly balances the fruits into an astonishingly refreshing beer. The finish is long, dry, and slightly bitter.
