Description
Liquorice is one of our favourite ingredients at Vibrant Forest and, as it's currently freezing in this wee brewery, we decided to both imperialise and sour things a little. The aroma is dense, the souring and the liquorice blending into a titanic wall of flavour. The palate takes an immediate assault. Upfront is a smouldering wall of thick imperial stout; the souring has sharpened off the expected roasted edges and is surprisingly balanced. The finish releases the liquorice on a wave of tart soy and roasted malts.
