Description
The fourth vintage cider from Wasted Degrees - created in collaboration with the people of Perthshire - is now available! 100% juice, fermented on the wild yeasts present on the skin of the fruit, nothing added and not watered down. Cider as it should be. In September + October the brewery becomes a hub for fresh-but-surplus local apples & pears to create our annual #AntiFoodWaste #Communuty cider. We saved 4.4 tonnes of fresh-but-surplus fruit from going to waste and made an epic cider in the process. We pulped & pressed the fruit using renewable power and, after extracting the juice, all the pulp was fed to local cattle just 3 miles from the brewery. No nutritional value wasted. The juice was fermented on the wild yeasts present on the skin of the fruit, right the way through the winter. This made for a delicious, traditional dry & tart cider.
