Description
Grape varieties: Pinot Noir 100% Type: Oaked dry white wine Region: Essex, England Soil: Rich topsoil of loam and flint supported by calcium-rich subsoil. Harvest/ Vinification: Each component was separately hand harvested and whole berry gently pressed into two to five-year-old French barrels where it remained for 11 months on full lees. Tasting note: Pale straw in colour with some evident peach, honeysuckle and smoky characters. This complex wine displays a fullness and roundness that is rare in wines from England. The palate is structured, full bodied; rich and silky with a steely backbone of acidity and layered nuances of multifaceted almost red wine characters.
