Amelie, English Bacchus

Description

A gorgeous expression of Bacchus, putting it alongside Sauvignon as a noble variety. What is particularly special for such a delicious wine is that it carries no more than 11 degrees of alcohol. This 2019 Bacchus has a steely minerality and zesty lemon sherbet in the background. True to the Bacchus style, it is almost totally clear to look at, yet as soon as you put your nose to the glass you can tell its a hugely characterful wine. Citrus, green apple and hints of elderflower on the nose continue through to the palate, which is clean, precise and flavoursome.
